Monday 3rd April 2023 marked yet another significant milestone in ReCAS’ preparation towards the commencement of its Bachelor of Science degree programmes in General Nursing, Public Health Nursing and Midwifery. Senior members of Regentropfen College of Applied Sciences (ReCAS) officially met with the management of Amiah Hospital to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to:
- Enhance and equip students of ReCAS with hands-on practical experiences and knowledge at the hospital level.
- Streamline and establish the modus operandi for each party under the MoU.
Under the agreement, Amiah Hospital will provide a serene and well-equipped hospital facility to enable training and effectively assess and evaluate students’ learning outcomes. ReCAS will on its part assign licensed faculty members and students to assist in training (provide specialized services) and learning respectively.
At ReCAS, we believe this partnership and collaboration marks another dawn geared towards making health-related programmes available, accessible, and affordable to the “ordinary” Ghanaians. While we look forward to admitting our first barge of students (for the 2023/2024 academic year), we say a big thank you to the management and staff of Amiah Hospital for their open-hand approach throughout the entire process, and we surely hope for mutually beneficial arrangements that will ensure Amiah Hospital and ReCAS thrive and realize their vision and mission statements of providing the best quality services to humanity.
