ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR B.Sc. PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING
The following are various categories that qualify to be enrolled on the BSc Public Health programme: Direct entry: 1. WASSCE/SSCE Graduates CERTIFICATE ENTRY POINT: 1. Nurse Assistant Clinical (NAC) 2. Nurse Assistant Preventive (NAP) 3. Post NAC/NAP Midwifery (PNNM) 4. Registered Midwifery (Certificate) DIPLOMA ENTRY POINT: 1. Registered Community Nursing (RCN)/Registered Public Health Nursing (PHN) 2. Registered General Nursing (RGN 3. Registered Midwifery (RM) 4. Registered Community Psychiatry Nursing (RCPN) 5. Registered Mental Health Nursing (RMN) 6. Registered Pediatric Nursing (PN) WASSCE Candidate An aggregate score of thirty-six (36) or better comprising (A1-C6) in three (3) core subjects i.e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science, and in three (3) elective subjects (A1-C6) in any of the following programmes listed below: SSSCE Candidate An aggregate score of twenty-four (24) or better comprising (A-D) in three (3) core subjects i.e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science, and in three (3) elective subjects (A-D) in any of the following programmes listed below.NOTE: A combination of SSSCE and WASSCE results are not acceptable

- Have attained a minimum age of twenty-five (25) years at the time of application.
- Show proof of age with a birth certificate which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application.
- Have at least three years of work experience. Applicants should provide a letter of appointment from their employer or show any proof of employment.
- Have a written reference from the immediate employer.
- Pass an entrance examination/interview conducted by the University.
- WASSCE/SSCE/NAC Level 100
- SRN/CHN/NAP/RM/CP (Certificate) – Level 200 Holders of Nurse assistant (Preventive) – NAP and Community health nursing certificates will be considered into level 200 after passing the access course conducted by the University.
- RGN/RCHN (Diploma)/ Registered Midwives/RMHN (Diploma) – Level 300
- FOREIGN STUDENTS International applicants may be admitted based on qualifications from their countries from which equivalence shall be determined by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and submitted to the university. Evidence of proficiency with the English Language will be required in the case of applicants from non-English speaking countries.
