The ReCAS fraternity congratulates Rev. Fr. Dr. Moses Asaah Awinongya SVD for winning the highest award at the just ended *National Philanthropy Excellence Award organized by National Philanthropy Forum.
Among 15 fifteen awardees for various categories, he was adjudged the National Philanthropist of the year 2019 for his sterling efforts in changing lives of ordinary Ghanaians through his foundation, Regentropfen Education Foundation (REF) and its subsidiaries including Regentropfen University College, (ReCAS), Regentropfen Senior High School (ReSHS), Rauschmayer Institute for Technical Training (RITT) and Regentropfen Basic School (RBS).
The Foundation supports over 270 children and youth in their educational endeavours. 35% of students in ReCAS are on scholarship whereas 80% of the students in ReSHS and RITT are on scholarship.
In the words of Fr. Asaah, quality Education should be accessible to all including the needy.
Fr. Asaah dedicated the award to the staff of the foundation (REF) and its subsidiaries: ReCAS, ReSHS, RITT and RBS.
He also paid glowing tribute to his Mother, Mama Alice Abinlogro, who has been his inspiration as well as to his late grandfather, Asaah and his late Uncle Gilbert Agongo Awinongya.
It is our hope that he continues to be the reason for a change in this generation and beyond.
