The Department of Agriculture for Social Change runs two
accredited programmes on the philosophy of providing quality training which
blends theory with practice, combining critical and analytical thinking to
prepare our graduates to be well equipped to face the real world of work and
research in agriculture.
Programmes:
2-Year Diploma in Agriculture for Social Change.
4-Year BSc. Agriculture for Social Change.
Uniqueness:
*The curricula have been uniquely tailored to meet the standards of climate-smart agriculture focusing on crop science, animal production, mechanization, irrigation, post-harvest management, etc.
*The programmes enable students to have direct contact with local farmers, NGOs, MoFA, and other bodies working directly with farmers.
*Through these arrangements, students are able to manage demonstration farms and even manage agribusinesses whilst pursuing the programme of study.
