Africa Youth Entrepreneur Federation is a league of youth entrepreneurs from across the African continent that serves as a representative voice for young entrepreneurs of African Continental Free Trade Agreement.
Africa Youth Entrepreneur Federation began as an informal group of a few Africa youth entrepreneurship organizations that identified the need to form a synergy to mobilize their members for the African continental free trade area in late 2020.
The league is into advocacy programmes, training and capacity building, funding/investment mobilization, research and trade facilitation.
It is the mission of the African Young Entrepreneurs Federation to connect, engage and support young entrepreneurs in their quest to leverage African Continental Free Trade Area by driving trade and advocating for reforms.
Their vision is to be a foremost community of young entrepreneurs who are fully empowered to actively participate, contribute and benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area.
It is in view of this that I was elected as the Head of Finance and Budget for the Ghana Chapter. This came as a result of the fact the President of ReCAS, Rev. Fr. Dr. Moses Asaah Awinongya SVD, introduced me an upcoming program slated to take place in November 2021. In the quest to making enquiries about the program for which I had a conversation with Mr. Prince Siita, he then added me to their platforms.
There was the need to elect leaders for the Ghana Chapter and so I took that as an opportunity to apply as the Head of Finance and Budget and after the election was conducted, I emerged as the winner as a student from the Regentropfen University College. I had worked as an Accounts Assistant for Business and Career Development Center (BCDC) at Regentropfen University College and also worked in the same capacity for Regentropfen Model Schools. I had also had the opportunity to serve in the Accounts Office for Regentropfen University College as a temporary Accounts Assistant. Michael Osei currently had his internship at Transary Limited, where he served as intern in charge of finances as well one in charge of improving the accounting system. Transary Limited is a fast growing logistics and clearing firm and also deals with registration of business with Ghana Investment Promotion Center. In building on this experiences and exposure, I have had the zeal and enthusiasm to serve in any capacity relating to finance and accounting. This new challenge will help me to coach students and all and sundry who wish to be entrepreneurs in the areas of advocacy, funding and investments and all others aspects related to entrepreneurship.
